""About a month ago, I bent down to tie my shoes and heard something pop in my back. I could not get up so I immediately went online and searched for a chiropractor. I found Allendale Chirocpractic Clinic. After finding I had a misaligned spine, they quickly started me on therapy. The doctors worked with me every visit and answered all questions I had. I’m happy to say that after a couple of weeks- I am feeling a lot better and almost 100 percent. I would recommend it to anybody. The doctors and their staff are amazing (you couldn’t be in better hands!). – Ruby R.""

Dr. Wheeler is a Pasadena native, attending schools in the P.I.S.D. through elementary, junior high school, intermediate, and high school. He graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1981 where he was 2nd -in-command of the Navy JROTC corps of cadets. He received his Associates of Science degree from San Jacinto Junior College & completed his pre-med studies at University of Houston. He graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1989 and obtained his license to practice chiropractic in the State of Texas later that same year. He also holds an inactive State of Alabama chiropractic license.
During his 30+ years of practicing chiropractic he has worked in traditional chiropractic clinics as well as multi-disciplinary clinics, working side by side with neurologists, anesthesiologists, physical therapists, nurse practitioners, and physician’s assistants. He is a former certified Red Cross CPR, Safety, and First Aid instructor. He has provided impairment ratings for injured Texas workers as a Designated Doctor for the Texas Worker’s Compensation Commission. He has testified as an “Expert Witness” in Harris County courtrooms for the defense of victims of motor vehicle accidents and other personal injuries. Wesley is the proud parent of two adult children and two precious grandchildren. His hobbies include fishing and playing golf. He is a member of The River, a non-denominational church in Channelview. Dr. Wheeler’s interest in chiropractic began when he was in junior college on an art scholarship. His step-mother had endured two lower back surgeries in less than three years and yet still suffered crippling lower back pain as well as burning in her legs. Three seniors at Texas Chiropractic College were renting a town-house in the same community where Wesley was living and had converted the living room into a treatment area. Wesley helped his mother essentially crawl into the town-house. In a little less than an hour she emerged, standing erect with a big grin on her face and tears streaming down her cheeks. Wesley changed his major to pre-med the following semester, forfeiting the art scholarship. “Many of our patients come in suffering from agonizing pain and often a sense of despair because often they have been to multiple health care providers with little to no relief. When, in less time than it takes for a pain pill or even an injection to begin working, our patients get off the table and report significant relief and re-newed hope for their condition, I can not think of a more fulfilling profession.” |
